The Pupillage Program at RSA is an important part of our eco system.

The pupilage that we offer enables a right minded candidate to secure a real feel of the challenges of legal practice and the expectations and responsibility that is associated with it.

A person who seeks a tenure of pupilage with us must be prepared for a significant shift from the academic world to the responsibilities that come with the world of legal practice. The period of pupilage that we offer is not an idle period of 9 months that may be likened to an extended vacation placement, but a real period of exposure, engagement and transition.

We expect our pupils to move into the mould of a practicing lawyer and to embrace the opportunities and responsibilities that flow from it.
